“I used to crash out about stuff I seemingly missed. That's wrong on so many levels.
First, nobody can time everything perfectly and it is futile to strive for that.
Second, gotta keep in mind all the stuff I sold with fat profit that went to the gulag after.
People always crash out about the winner they missed, without realizing that in order to catch that one they would have also had to hold all the other stuff that went to zero. And then the equation suddenly looks very different.
Always focus on the next shot. No matter what you missed or what you currently holding in profit. Focus on the next trade. People not only fucking this up by reminiscing about useless “what could have been“ thinking; many also fuck this up when they are sitting in winning positions. They stop moving to admire their shot, instead of looking for the next trade”.
